The land has been cut away, leaving behind the network of the extractive industry, brightly colored waste ponds and visualized underground pipelines.</image:caption>

<image:caption>2012-2013 This installation combined photos, videos, wall works and sculpture that were generated from 3 trips at sea with research scientists. (in the Arctic and in the Amazon Plume) The works in the exhibition specifically focus on the sea as a persistently foreign body, an overlooked wilderness that one attempts to comprehend through technologies, optics and cartography.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Handcut drawings, Inkjet prints, gouache, video, wood, boat parts, plants, reclaimed wood and steel, mylar, video 2012-2014 This work reflects the tension between the natural world and the transformation of nature into a commodified, industrial or synthetic landscape. The color and structure of this piece is informed by maps that are made from great distances such as satellite, infrared and LIDAR imaging. As land is visualized from space, there are inherent interruptions and gaps in the data. Here, the color coding present in science is imposed on this cut landscape, the image falls out, is in fragments.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Woodwork is a series of sculptures made from reclaimed wood and steam bent ash. The works are derived from data and maps that describe the global transportation of goods that circulate the globe. In some cases, these forms are specific to the paths of a material trade, in other cases they reference publicly available AIS data (Automatic Identification System-tracks marine vessels), visualizations of global ocean currents, the imaginary paths across seas and air currents that connect ports, wildfires, and strategic centers. The color running along the sides references cargo vessels and standard RAL colors for shipping containers.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Everything Is Everything- an exhibition at Gallery 16, in San Francisco. The work is part of a reckoning with the weight of the 'hyperobjects' that shape both our molecular connection and intellectual disconnection with the more-than-human world. Climate; the carbon and nitrogen cycles; the connectivity between the small gesture of the personal, the devastation of extractive industry and the greater natural world. The show is comprised of anxious artworks that stem from both the beauty and apprehension of our moment.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Right Angle at RA Gallery in Great Barrington, MA, 2024 The steam-bent ash sculptures are a vehicle to investigate the invisible lines that shape our lives; from the objects we hold in our hands, the industries that form economy, and the emissions that comprise the atmosphere. Her work traces and maps the gradients of natural data points such as air currents and sea temperatures and the shipping routes that circumnavigate the globe. Ash is a chosen material, not only because it is prized for flexibility, but because it sheds light on material decimated by the Emerald Ash Borer, an insect that came to the US from Asia aboard wood pallets in shipping containers.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Permanent Public Artwork, Daggett Park, Mission Bay, San Francisco Steel, reclaimed Granite, Native Plants This site was once the shore of Mission Bay, a 5,000 year-old tidal marsh that was habitat to a rich array of flora and fauna. In the early 19th century naturalists observed a dynamic ecosystem full of species whose trace is now obscured by our contemporary landscape. The five panels that form Shadow Kingdom evoke the layered history of the area including a plethora of the original species that once occupied the site. As the sun arcs across the sky, these endemic species are projected as shadows back onto the terrain they once inhabited.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This sculpture was designed by translating annual rainfall and temperature data into color and shape. Each band on the artwork represents a calendar year, beginning in the late 1800’s and ending in 2020. The diameter of the bands are determined by measurements made by a nearby USGS water gage that records how much water is coursing through the Passaic River. Larger rings represent wetter years, smaller diameter rings, dryer. Each color corresponds to the average annual temperature- dark red being the warmest years and dark blue the coolest. Smaller colorful striped bands highlight the top 40 largest flood events in the past 120 years. Through this object, you can see some of the impacts of our changing climate- the annual temerature is getting progressively warmer, rainfall has increased slightly and floods become much more common.</image:caption>
